et serorum dat examinatus

Rolandus Carr de Sheild in Comitatis Palatinate
[?XXX] Nauta, asetatis 34 annorum aut
eo circiter testis productus et iuratus.

hee well knoweth the shipp the Speedewell arlate and hath soe done for theise foure
yeares last or thereabouts during which space, untill shee was taken
by a pirate (as hereafter followeth) hee this deponent was master of
her,
