Edward Boucklee (b. ca. 1619; d. ?). Mariner.
Boatswain of the Catherine of London (Master: SDavid Younge).
Resident in 1658 in the parish of Saint Olave Southwark.
Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Twenty-nine year old Edward Boucklee deposed on January 19th 1658 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of David Younge and Company in the cause of "David Younge and Company against David Bonnell".[1]
Edward Boucklee stated that the voyage lasted from January 1656 until September 1657.
The master's mate of the Catherine, William Smith, also deposed on behalf of David Younge and Company, as did Thomas Sweet, a thirty-three year old mariner of Stepney, who had been mate on the Catherine.[2]
