Upon the allegation given in and
admitted on the behalfe of the sayd
Jones and Company/

Christopher Hamlin of Islington in the County
of Middlesex Mariner where he hath lived above three
yeares past, aged about 27 yeares, a wittnes
produced, sworne and examined he deposeth and
saith as followeth.
To the third article of the sayd allegation given in and admitted
on the behalfe of the sayd Jones and Company and to
the schedule therin mentioned he deposeth and saith That he
this deponent went aboard the shipp the Constant Ruth arlate
in the moneth of March last was twelve=months, at the
Barbathoses and sayled in her untill shee was taken, which was
about five months after, and that by his being on board the sayd
shipp he well knew the schedlate John Lingham, Edward
White, John Jones, John Wood, Robert [?Weedings]
and Luke holliday, and he sayth that when Captaine hay[?man]
Master of the sayd shipp did enter him this deponent in his
shipp=booke he shewed this deponent there was [?allowed]
unto the sayd John Lingham, Edward White and John
Jones Marriners of the sayd shipp the summe of 1 li 8 s per month
to each of them, and he sayth that the sayd John Wood was
Cooke of the sayd shipp, the sayd Robert Weedings was
Bosen and the sayd Luke holliday was the Captaynes boy
but what their wages were he knoweth not And further
he cannot depose.
To the fourth article he deposeth and saith that the shipp the
Constant Ruth arlate sayled from the Coast of Guyney [?on]
the sixteenth of December Last was 12=months (English
stile, and arrived safe with the Negro's aboard her at the
Barbathoes following: The premisses he knoweth because he this
deponent was aboard a shipp called the Industry (whereof
one James Cranidge was Master) which shipp the Industry [?XXX]
in Company with the arlate shipp the Constant Ruth from
the said Coast of Guyny and arrived safely at the Barbathoes
together with the sayd shipp the Constant Ruth, but he sayth he
knoweth not the certaine number of Negro's aboard the said
shipp the Constant Ruth And further he cannot depose.
To the rest he is not examined by direction of the producent./

Constant Ruth at the Barbadoes, and that he this Rendent was not

William Wilson and ffrancis Brookes who were all taken in at the
Barbadoes, and that he this Rendent did not see the delivery
