Biographical synthesis
Richard Cawthorne (b. ca. 1629; d. ?). Stationer.
Resident in 1655 in the parish of Saint Mildred Bread Street (descibed in the deposition as Saint Mildreds in the Poultry). Had been resident in that parish for the last 11 years, since ca. 1644.[1]
Evidence from High Court of Admiralty
Thirty-six year old Richard Cawthorne deposed on September 14th 1655 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on a libel in the case pof "Complaine against Brandlin and others".[2]

Thomas Wilson Coldham (1984) identifies an earlier deposition by Richard Cawthorne of Saint Mildred Bread Street, when he was thirty-one years of age[4]
