Forty-two year old Richard Middleton deposed on September 28th 1660 in the High Court of Admiralty.[1] He was examined on an allegation in the case "Ex parte Thomas Hopkins Johannes Gregory concerning the Golden Sun of Amsterdam".[2] The case concerned the leakage of oils carried in a Dutch ship from Cadiz to London.[3]
