Biographical synthesis


Henry Tulse, Grocer, was knighted in 1673, became Sheriff of London in 1674 and Lord Mayor in 1684. He was cousin of Henry Tulse, MP for Christchurch after the Restoration.[1]

Henry Tulse was Warden of the Company of Grocers in 1673 (along with Thomas Talbott, Esquire, Richard Booth, Esquire, and Thomas Hatton),[2] and as Sir Henry Tulse in 1681, along with Ralph Box, Esquire, William Winch, William Hyett, Roger Reeve, and Gabriell Reene[3]
