To the 9th hee saith hee heard Thomas Browneing Interrogate
saye that his brother Robert Browning had of a Jew at Santa Cruse other goods
or money to the value of two or three hundred duckatts for that the sayd Jew
had not performed his bargaine made with the sayd Robert And further to
this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere knowing nothing touching the sale of any
deale boards nor what Accompt is made to the Owners for the things Interrogate/
To the 10th hee saith hee knoweth being aboard and seeing the same that the
sayd Thomas Browneing did give away some dates and Almonds but
whether they were his owne or laded for his owners Accompt hee knoweth
not nor the quantitie given away And saith hee knoweth the sayd Thomas
did at Santa Cruse give away a runlett of vinegar of about a gallon which
belonged to his owners And to the rest of the Interrogatorie hee cannot
answere./
To the last hee saith hee being on board as aforesayd knoweth that the
sayd Thomas Browneing did donage the shipp Interrogate him selfe
and hee this deponent heard him say hee would make good what
damage came by that, or to the like effect And saith there were a
quantitie of Almonds spoiled and throwne over board but how
many hee knoweth not, which hee beleeveth would not have bin dammaged
if the platforme of the donage had bin laid somewhat higher then it was
And saith that hee beleeveth they were worth and did cost five duckatts a
quintall when they were bought, for that this deponent bought almonds
at the same rate And hee further saith the Interrogate Robert Browning
is commonly reputed the brother of the Interrogate Thomas Browneing and
is a wittnesse in this cause on the behalfe of the sayd Thomas And
further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere./
