I would not omitt this opportunity to give yo:r Worp:s Notice of w:t hath passed since our arrivall heere w:ch is that before S:r Abram[1] would lande his souldiers one Angedeiva Island, M:r Masters & M:r Ball[2] being á board desires y:t y:e Gouvern:r of this towne might have notice thereof on w:ch M:r Ball adviseing w:th him found alltogeath:r unwilling, & said hee could answer it to his kinge to give us possession without his pticuler order for it, & y:t if wee would take it pforce hee should procure all means possible to beate us off, & soo undoubtedly would a seased one yo:r ffactory heere & made á warr betweene us, S:r Abram hath writt to my Lord Marlburgh[3] Concerning it & w:thout y:e ffreindshipp of this Countrey ?sopose noothing will bee acted for y:e takeing of y:e s:d Island,[4] soo y:t heere wee remaine on board while further order comes. I am much wearyed w:th these uncertantyes & Could heartily wish some thing did offer wherein I might doo yo:r Worp:e Service, w:ch I assure you none shall doo it w:th more fidelity than my selfe w:ch is w:t I have to say at pres:t wishing yo:r Worp:e all health and prosperity I ever remayne
