Wee sallute you, The Comp:a haveing not onely declared á Liberty but alsoe incouradgem:t to their serv:ts & members to deale in Dyamonds pearles & other Jewells wee have presumed to Consigne you £ [could also be “$”] 1000 pcs 9/9 Civill money in 2. Baggs marked as p y:e Margent [I:I: G:O: N:o 1:2:] w:ch wee request you to invest for us in y:e said Comodityes & returne us by y:e Comp:as shipps Consigned unto our selves; at present Large Dyamonds are in request but wee know you have advice at large from other ffreinds & it may bee a good rule to buy y:t w:ch is best cheape for noo man can forsee w:t will bee desireable in a thing y:t depends soo much upon fancy; I alsoe may acquaint you y:t I see y:e Comp:a expect y:y you doo not build any shipping nor lend theire money to any psons nor adventure It being theire designe to trade onely out & home; This wee give you as a generall rule for yo:r direction; further you may take notice y:t it cannot regularly bee pmitted to import goods built theare in India soo y:t if any such ships theare should come you must order y:m to stopp at Dover in y:e Downes, theere being some more ffreedome in y:e Comission trade y:e prce 9/9ll above mentioned are Consigned you on y:e Loy:ll Merch:tt Cap:t Millett[1] M:er not haveing ?oere wee remaine
