God haveing blessed mee hither safely to arrive in shipp Affrican I make bold to intreate yo:r worps: advice & assistance in y:e disposall of a stock now in my hands for acco:t of S:r Tho:s Bludworth K:t[1] & y:e Owners of o:r shipp[2], yo:r Worp:e hath S:r Tho:s Bludworths ltre whoos stock amo:tts to five hundred pounds whose desire is itt may bee invested in some Comodity w:th in our Bounds, & in my poore Iudgem:t y:t w:ch will turne best to acco:t is dyamonds well bought & none lesse than a Carrott, & none big:r than tenn Carrotts, & noo Else but such as is á Cleare white ?watt:e pure stones, w:ch are (??Nyff? for yellow & other foule wat:es will not sell; And y:e same Investm:t I intreate yo:r Worp:ll y:e Owners of shipp Affrican, soo Both togeather is Tenn in Twelve hund.rd pounds w:ch I crave of yo:r worp:e doubting not but you will advance my reputation therein, & therby farther ingaged, to remaine
