Transcription

To the 8th and 9th Interrogatories hee saith that the said money and plate
now claimed was receaved on bord by the said Garrett Martens
and his precontest Lucas Wrede by whom the same ws entred
into severall bookes or papers under the markes and as laden for the
accompt predeposed, with which said Bookes the bills of ladeing doe
agree. And further cannot depose.

To the 10th and 11th saveing his foregoeing Deposition to which hee referreth
hee answereth negatively.

To the 12th saving his foregoeing deposition hee answereth negatively

To the 13. 14 and 15th Interrogatories hee saith that upon the ladeing of the
moneys and plate now claimed on bord the said shippe the said
laders thereof did tell this deponent that the same was the proceede
of severall goods which they had receaved from the said producent
out of fflanders. And further saveing his foregoeing deposition
hee saith hee cannot depose.

To the 16th hee saith that hee this Examinate is of [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT]
by birth and habitation and that hee hath noe share or interest
at all in the money and plate now claimed nor any relation
to the producent the Claimer thereof. And further cannot depose

To the 17th and 18th Interrogatories saving his foregoeing deposition hee saith
hee cannot more fully depose.

To the 19 and 20th hee hath given full satisfaction hereunto
in his foregoeing deposition to which hee referreth And further cannot
depose.

To the 21th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition And
otherwise cannot depose./

To the 22th hee saith that the money and plate now claymed
to his best remembrance was laden on bord the sayd ship part at
Midday=tyme and part in the evening towards night but whether
when or without the Command of the ffortresse att Cadiz hee cannot
now call to minde. And further cannot depose.

To the 23th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition And otherwise
cannot depose.

To the 24. and 25th hee saith hee knoweth not the lawes of Spaine touching
shipping of silver from thence, but saith that of his knowledge money
Plate and Bullion hath bin and is usually laden and brought from
Spania without any stay or lett provided the same bee not too
publiquely carryed abord. And further cannot depose.
