  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

Coales, which suite is still dependinge
at Comon lawe, and is ready for execution
[?which] he doth forbeare to take out by
reason of this pretended contempte
promoted against him, but he beleiveth
that he hath not, neither doth he prosecuuted
the sayd suite at Common Lawe in contempte
of this Court or of the Jurisdiction therof
but conceiveth that the matter
for which the sayd suite is commenced
and dependinge at Common Lawe for the
Colaes aforesayd is proper to be tryed
there and not in this Court, and that the
sayd cause was ready for iudgement
at the Common Lawe before he
was called to appeare in this Court concerninge
the contempte arlate And otherwise he
doth not beleive this article to be true in
any part/

To the third article and the schedule therin
mentioned he sayeth That he knoweth not
wheither the schedule arlate be a true
copie of the declaration given on the behalfe
of the sayd Susan Allen against the sayd Henry
Bushell for that he understands not the
Lattin tongue, And otherwise referringe
himselfe to his answear to the next precedent
article which hee beleiveth to be true he doth
not beleive the sayd article or schedule to
be true in any part therof./

To the 4th he answereth and beleiveth That about a yeare
since to his nowe best remembrance and
before the obteyninge of the iudgment
aforesayd against the sayd Henry Bushell this
rendent was called in by a proces from
this Court at the promotion of the
sayd Bushell and did appeare accordinglye
And otherwise he doth not beleive this
article to be true in any part therof./

To the 5th he sayeth That after he was
summoned to appeare in this Court
for the contempte aforesayd he did notwithsatnding
the sayd summons proceed in the sayd suite
at common Lawe against the sayd Bushell and obteyned
a iudgment against him but whither the sayd Bushell
was then at sea or on shoare he knoweth not
