  • Go into edit mode
  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Transcription

per Barrill and not above and a box of
linnen and a suite of Cloathes which
Linnen and Cloathes were by an order
from the Earle of Warwicke then
Lord Admirall delivered backe to the
said Elianor Windall and shee re
ceaved the same and gave a noate
under her hand for receipt thereof
and the herrings aforesaid were
delivered to Colonell Moore the Go=
vernour of the Garrison and Mr
Richard dermott the deputy Collec=
tor And otherwise for his parte hee
doeth not beleeve this position to
bee true in any parte./

To the 5th position hee answereth and
beleeveth that the shippe the hare by
striveing to beare into Beaumorris
being an Enemies porte had her
maine mast cracked and that shee
then went into dawpoole being in
possession of the enemy when shee
might as easily and readily have
come to Leverpoole which was in
possession of the Parliament And
otherwise for his parte hee deoth not
beleeve the sme to bee true in any parte
