  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

The full and plaine Answers
of William Ashwell Esquire
made to the first Article of the
pretended Libell and to the 4th
Article of the pretended Allegation
given against him on the behalfe
of George Keate as followeth videlicet

To the first position of the said pretended
Libell hee answereth and beleeveth that in
the yeare 1647 and the monethes there
of and in the yeare 1648 and untill
the time that the arlate Thomas Mulle
nux was in some moneth of the said
yeare 1648 hee the said Thomas Mullenux
was Master of the arlate shippe the Mary Bone
adventure and had and tooke upon him the
care and charge and government of the
said shippe by and with the consent of
the owners of her And this Rendent
hath heard and beleeveth that the said
Mullenux was alsoe for and dureing all
the time aforesaid owner of one sixteenth
parte of the said shippe and her Tackle and
furniture And otherwise hee doeth not
beleeve the said pretensed position to bee
true in any parte thereof/
