1. And saith that the sayd Jeggles having at Lisbone gotten a Pylott and was
2. severall tymes by stresse of weather beaten back to Bell Isle in the River
3. of Lisborne, soo that it was about the XXXXX XXXXXX three moneths and some
4. odd dayes before the sayd Jeggles did gaine the port of Porto Port, which
5. Port hee might in this deponents Judgement very well have gained when
6. hee first beate up and downe two dayes as a foresayd before it; hee the sayd
7. Jeggles had certainely knowne how the barr of the sayd harbour did then
8. lye And further to this article hee cannot depose./

9. To the 3 hee saith that after the sayd Jeggles his shipp was by stresse of XXXX GUTTER
10. forsed to Lisbone and before shee XXXX gott thense into Porto Port some English XXXX GUTTER
11. were gott into Porto Port with certayne goods but of what sorte hee knoweth
12. not for that they were unladen before the sayd Jeggles his shipp gott into
13. Porto Port And further to this article hee cannot depose saving hee saith that
14. one of the shipps which came into Porto Port before the sayd Jeggles did lade GUTTER
15. oyle and wines as the sayd Jeggles did, and did therewith goe in Company with
16. the sayd Jeggles to Barbados./

17. To the 4th article hee saith hee well knoweth that there were at Nevis delivered
18. containe wynes for Accompt of the arlate Cowse but how many hee knoweth
19. not, but what quantitie the sayd Jeggles was there ordered to deliver or whether GUTTER
20. hee detyned any part of wyne hee was there ordered there to deliver hee GUTTER
21. knoweth not And further hee cannot depose/

22. To the 5th hee saith that hee goeing Gunner as aforesayd knoweth that
23. after the retourne of the sayd shipp Anne from New England to the
24. Barbados the sayd Jeggles did there receave of one Edmond Cowse GUTTER
25. (reputed a factor of James Couse) certaine Merchandizes videlicet seaven or eight GUTTER
26. pipes of wyne, thirty two reames of paper, a smale bayle of painted stuff GUTTER
27. (how many peeces it conteyned hee knoweth not) two chests of fine Earthen ware GUTTER
28. and a parcell of course Earthen ware, and a parcell of salt, And further to GUTTER
29. this article hee cannot depose not being privie to the sayd Jeggles his Accompt GUTTER

32. To the 6th and the schedule therein meantioned hee cannot depose/

33. To the 7th hee saith that the sayd Jeggles having in his passage from Bar= GUTTER
34. badoes to Virginia by stresse of weather lost his foremast and for topmast GUTTER
35. and foretop sayle yards and the rigging belonging to all ot them did lie after
36. his arrival at Virginia betwixt fower or five moneths at Virginia to sell GUTTER
37. the goods brought thither and to procure a freight for London or Holland and
38. to fitt him selfe with a foremast foretopp mast and foretop sayle yard and XXX GUTTER
39. to them and having fitted him selfe therewith but not being able (as hee had GUTTER
40. to gett a freight (though hee did of this deponents knwledge endeavour to gett one) the GUTTER
41. sayd Jeggles after soo long stay there went thense with lesse about two hundred
42. hogsheads of tobaccoe which was lesse than a third part of the sayd shipps XXX GUTTER
43. shee being of the burthen of about two hundred and twenty tonne And
44. further to this article hee cannot depose/

45. To the 8th hee saith hee being Gunner and aboard as aforesayd knoweth
46. that the sayd Jeggles in his voyage homeward from Virginia to London
