==Evidence from High Court of Admiralty==&lt;br /&gt;
Thirty-one year old William Wiat deposed on February 18th 1659 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on befalf of James Nuthall in the case of  &amp;quot;James Nuthall against the ''Gilly flower'' alias the ''Hope'' Henry Potts Master and against the said Potts&amp;quot;.&amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;[[HCA 13/73 f.36r Annotate|HCA 13/73 f.36r]]&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

William Wiatt stated that he knows Henry Potts and that for the last two and a half years Potts had been master of the shipe the ''Hopewell''.
