Late master's mate on the ship the ''Minori Busse'', engaged on a fishing design on behalf of the Corporation of London.

Resident in 1657 in Wapping.

==Evidence from High Court of Admiralty==
Forty-eight year old William Barber deposed on February 27th 1657 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation dated December 1656 on behlaf of John Ketch, master of the ''MInorie Busse'' in the case of "Ketch and others against the shipp The ''Minories'' and against James Boydon".<ref>[[HCA 13/71 f.448r Annotate|HCA 13/71 f.448r]]</ref>

William Barber stated that he was firected by Captaine John ffearnes to fetch supplies for the ''Minorie Busse'' from the house of Henry Askettle. These consisted of "a quantity of pitch and tarr and some blocks and a quantity of fish and some roapes towards the said shipps reparation and provision upon the said voiage. Barber also fetched from the house of John Merrihurst two sorts of cable and some cordage. He fetched several parcels of iron work from a Smith's house in Wapping, but could not remember the Smith's name.<ref>[[HCA 13/71 f.448v Annotate|HCA 13/71 f.448v]]</ref>
