Twenty-three year old Robert Demetrius deposed on March 15th 1654 in the High Cpourt of Admiralty. He was examined on behalf of the claimers in the case of "The clayme of Cornelis and Henry Hillywervin merchants of Antwerp for their moneyes in the shipp the ''Sampson'' whereof Otto George was master taken by some of the Parliaments fleet".<ref>[[HCA 13/69 Silver 12 f.1v Annotate|HCA 13/69 Silver 12 f.1v]]</ref>
