Pyetter Paulis (b.ca.1627; d.?). Mariner.

Name rendered in English as "Peter Powles".

Paulis lived in the parish of Saint Catherine near the Tower for two and a half years before his deposition in the High Court of Admiralty in early 1655. He had been born in Dunkirk.<ref>[[HCA 13/70 f.254r Annotate|HCA 13/70 f.254r]]</ref>

He stated in his deposition that he had been master of the ship the ''ffortune of the Sea'' (now called the ''Post'', and that he had bought the ship for its owners Philip Richaut and Company at Ostend in 1651.<ref>[[HCA 13/70 f.254v Annotate|HCA 13/70 f.254v]]</ref>
