==Evidence from High Court of Admiralty==
Twenty-eight year old Peter Blackborow deposed on May 17th 1655 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on an allegation on behalf of Peter Blackborowe in the case of "The claime of Peter Blackborowe for the goods in the shipp the ''Grayhound'' John Hall master, lately cast away neare Yarmouth."<ref>[[HCA 13/70 f.328v Annotate|HCA 13/70 f.328v]]</ref>

The case concerned the casting away of the ship the ''Grayhound'' near Yarmouth. The ship was laden with deals and timbers at Holmstrand in Norway. The lading was jointly owned by Peter Blackborow and his partner Thomas Shirley, both Englishmen.
