==Biographical synthesis==
Maurice ffoard (b. ca. 1617; d. ?). Brewer.

Hired as a "Copper man" by Captaine Thomas Damerell to go on a voyage on the whaling ship the ''Owners Adventure'' in May 1656 to Spizbergen ("Greeneland") - "to goe a Copper man for boyling of the whales taken the sayd voyage".<ref>[[HCA 13/71 f.494r Annotate|HCA 13/71 f.494r]]</ref>

Resident in 1657 in Shadwell.

==Evidence from High Court of Admiralty==
Forty year old Maurice ffoard deposed on January 14th 1657 in the High Court of Admiralty. He was examined on a libel in the case of "He was examined in the case of "Batson against Goslin and others".<ref>[[HCA 13/71 f.463r Annotate|HCA 13/71 f.463r]]</ref>
