IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN: I Thomas Style in the Countie of Surrey Esquire being sounde of minde and memorie ...”

...And my bodye I doe comitt (sic) to the earth (whereon it was made of to be buryed at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And for my Reall and personall estate whatsoever of the things of this world I doe possesse I doe bequeath the same as followeth (that is (à saie) I doe will and bequeath all my Coppiehold Land in Edmonton in the Countye of Middlesex which is surrendered to the use of my will, And all that freehold land in Edmonton which I purchased of Captaine Novoth (OR, Noveth) of Enfeild unto Martha my beloved wife dureinge her naturall life And after her decease I give the said ffreehold and Coppiehold Land to my Sonne in Lawe John Highlord Esq:r and his heires uppon trust and confidence and to this intent and purpose, and my Will is that he the said John Highlord shall sell this same within one whole yeare after the death of my wife or soe soone as conveniently heron (sic) for the best advantage for the raysinge of porcōns for my younger children to be paid and disposed in such manner as by this my will I have directed Provided alwaies that if my sonne Maurice Style shall pay unto the said John Highfield the full sume of Twoe thousand and twoe hundred pounds within one yeare after the death of my said wife for the use and benefit of my said younger children to be imployed and disposed as the money appointed by sale of these lands is directed That then he the said John Highlord shall surrender all that Coppyhold Land in Edmonton aforesaid unto my son Maurice Style and his heires And in the meane tyme untill the said sume of two thousand two hundred poundes be paid or the landes shalbe sould I doe will anddevise that the rents and profitts of all the said freehold and coppiehold Land shalbe received by the said John Highlord and by him be imployed for the benefitt of my younger children Alsoe I bequeath to my wife all her Jewells both pearle and diamonds and all my plate As alsoe my twoe Coaches and my Coachhorses togeather with the Lease of the house in Morden which I doe live at present And for all other my household goods I doe give and bequeath the same unto my sonne Maurice Style with this Provisoe that my wife his loveinge mother shall have the use of them dureinge her life And my Will is that my sonne Maurice doe beare the losse wearinge (?) and beareinge of them dureinge the said tyme And unto all the rest of my younger children hereafter named I doo give and bequeath Thirtye five pounds to each of them to be paid yearelie to them for their maintenance untill they come to the age of one and twenty yeares or be marryed, and that the said yearlie maintenance of thirty five poundes be paid to each of my younger children quarterly, ffirst to my sonne Thomas Style for his yearlie maintenance thirty five pounds Unto my sonne William thirty five pounds Unto my sonne George thirty five poundes Unto my sonne Henry thirty five pounds Unto my daughter Sarah Style Thirty five pounds Unto my daughter Cherie (?) thirty five poundes Unto my daughter Margarett thirty five pounds Moreover I give and bequeath to my sonne Thomas Style seaven hundred pounds unto my sonne William Seaven hundred pounds To my sonne George Seaven hundred pounds To be paid to them when they shall come to bee of the age of one and twentye yeares for their severall porcōns And if for their better advancement as by puttinge forth to be apprenticed or otherwise as it shall seeme needfull to my Executorand Overseers to disburse some part of their porcōn beforehand for their benefitt Then and in such case my Will is That soe much money be advanced and paid out of their said porcōns of seaven hundred pounds for either of their useas to the discretion of my Executor and Overseers shall seeme expedient and to default soo much outof their said porcōns or yearlie maintenance as shalbe soe layed out for their advancement, and the remayninge sume to be paid to them when they shalbe of the age of Twentie and one yeares or upon the day of their marriage which shall first happen for their severall portions (sic) And if it shall please God that any of my younger children shall dye before they be of age to receave their portions (sic) my Will is that their porcōn be equally devided (sic) amongst the remayeninge of my personall estate after that my debts and legacies and funerall Charges are paid My Will is that the remayeninge personall estate be equally devided amonge my younger children for addition to their porcōns And I doe give all my Coppiehould land and houses in Morden in the County of Surrey which is surrendered to the use of my will And all that my freehould Land in the County of Kent which I purchased of M:r Charles Doringe merchant unto my said Sonne in Lawe John Highlord Esq:r and his heires upon trust and confidence and to this intent and purpose and my will is that the said John Highlord shall sell the same to the best advantage for raysinge (sic) of porcōns for my said younger children, and to be paid & disposed in such manner as by this my said will is before expressed, I doe give and bequeath to my sonne Highlord and my daughter Highlord ffiftye pound to buy them mourninge Alsoe I doe give and bequeath to my ancient and faithfull freind M:r Anthony Doring twenty pound for a Legacie and to buy him mourninge Alsoe I doe give unto M:r Booth (my good Pastor) Tenne pounds for a legacie, And I doe request him to permitt that my bodie may be buryed within that grave in which the body of my deare sister M:rs Dorothie Garth lies buryed within the Chancell in the Church of Morden And my Will is that my Executor doe theire dispose of my body in decent buryall with the advice of my Overseers Alsoe I doe give tenne pound to be distributed unto the poore of the said parish of Morden accordinge to the discretion of the Minister and Churchwardens of the said parishe of Morden And my Will is that my Executor give noe mourninge unto any but to those of my familye, that is unto my deare Wife, my children and family servants I doe make and ordaine my sonne Maurice Style to be my executor of this my last Will and Testament And I doe alsoe make and ordaine my most loveinge sonne in lawe John Highlord El (?) and my most faithfull and loveinge freind M:r Anthony Doring my Overseers unto this my Will And my Will is that my Executor before named doe advise with and be directed by my said Overseers And this I renounce all former Wills and doe ordaine this my last Will and Testament to be of force, and none other to stand our bein (sic) foure Witness:s my
