IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the seaventh daie of August 1638 I Henrie Andrewes Esquire and Alderman of London being sicke in bodie but of good and pfect memorie thankes bee therefore given to almighty God doe make and declare my last Will and Testament as followeth ffirst I bequeath my soule to God & my bodie to the earth to be decentlie buryed at y discrecon of my Executrix and Overseers hereafter named & my goodes as hereafter followeth that is to saie

IMPRIMIS whereas by and accordinge to the Laudable Custome of the Citie of London my psonall estate ought to be devided into three equall ptes one parte thereof to my wife another to my Children and the other to myselfe

for that before my marriage with Anne my nowe wife it was and is by writing in that behalf made setled and agreed uppon what parte and porcon of my estate my said wife shall have and enioy after my decease therefore I having left one full parte of my estate psonall to fall and come to my children unadvanced have power and libertie to dispose of two parts of my estate w:ch I doe as follwoeth

ffirst whereas I have bestwoed in marriage with my daughter Ann ffenn the some of twoe thousand pounds and with my daughter Elizabeth Mico the some of fifteene or sixteene hundred pounds Nowe my will and meaninge is that all my children unadvanced may with their owne porcons and Customary parts have soe much of the said two thirds which I have power to dispose as will make upp the same equall with their sister Ann her porcon and likewise that the said Elizabeth her porcon may out of my said partes have soe much as may make upp her porcon already given her equall with the porcon of her sister Ann

ITEM I will that my sonn Daniell Andrewes shall have a full childs parte of my estate with the rest of my Children over and above all that I have formerly betowed upon him

ITEM I give to my servante ?Mandervile fiftie poundes

ITEM I give to my kinsman Edward Battie fiftie poundes

To all my servants which shallbe dwelling with me att the tyme of my decease tenne poundes apeece
To M:r Leeke preacher at Bowe Church tenn poundes
To M:r Maddison Minister at Wansted five poundes,
To M:r Peter Symons Minister I forgive the five poundes hee oweth mee and five poundes more,
To Doctor Howell five poundes and to M:r Downham Minister in Walbrooke tenn poundes
To my Cosen John Cluterbooke I forgive what he oweth mee, soe as my Executors bee not damnified by any ingagement I stand for him,

And I make and ordaine my sonne Daniell Andrewes my sonne in Lawe James ffenn and my sonne in Lawe Samuell Mico executors of my will & Testament not doubtinge of their naturall love and good agreemente to see this my will performed accordinge to my true meaninge heere in declared

ITEM I give to ffrancis Cheney my wife her sister daughter one hundreth poundes and to Rachell Ormeshawe my kinswoman fiftie poundes,

And as touching the disposition of my Landes I give to my sonne Henry Andrewes all my landes tenements and hereditaments in the Countie of Wiltes which I purchased from the Patentees for the Cities Landes granted to them by his Ma:tie to hould to him and the heires of his bodie and for wante of such Issue I give the same to my sonne Stephen Andrewes and the heires of his bodie and for want of such issue I will the sume to bee and remaine to my said sonne Daniell and his heires All the rest of my Landes I leave to my said sonne Daniell and his heires forever

ITEM I give and bequeath to the artillerie companie fortie poundes
