11. To the 3d. and 4th hee saith the said shipp was last at the Port of Saint
12. Remo in ˹the˺ Revero of Genoa, next before her taking and saith
13. she set sayle from thence, on or about the 12th of January
14. last, (old stile), bound for Amsterdam, and saith hee ˹the said Napper˺ had
15. on board at and after the second day of September 1656
16. an Eighth part of foure thousand three hundred and sixty
17. kentalls, or drye Newfoundland ffish which was discharged of
18. Genoa, and saith this deponent had ˹tooke˺ aboard ˹at Newfoundland XXX by the order˺ of the
19. said James Napper (,which hee ˹verily˺ beleeveth was for the said Nappars
20. sole accompt about Eleven kintalls, and a halfe of drye ffish, as a
21. private Adventure which this deponent sold at Genoa, and Invested
22. the said Money in Corrall beads by his irder, to the about
23. the vallue of thirty two peeces of Eight, which were in this deponents
24. Custody at the time of the said shipps seizin taking, And
25. hee ˹the said Napper˺ alsoe had an 8th part interest in 2000 peeces of 8: delivered
26. the ffreighters of the said ship, which money was to be receaved
27. with the ffreight, at her Arrivall in Amsterdam, which XXXX
28. and was utterly lost, together with the said shipp: and otherwise hee
29. ˹cannot depose.˺
30. To the 5th hee saith hee well knoweth that the ˹said shipp the˺ Lyon was taken
31. and surprized by two men of warr, which belonged (as this deponent
32. beleeveth) to Saint Sebastians in Spaine, and saith shee was
33. taken at sea, about 40 Leagues west of Ushent, and was
34. carryed by the said men of warr to Saint Sebastians aforesaid, and
35. hath credibly heard shee was there Condemned and sold, at Brig
36. and verily beleeveth there hath bin noe manner of satisfaction
37. made to the said James Napper for the same The XXXXX {TORN PAPER}
38. deposeth being Supra cargo aboard ˹the said shipp˺ at the time of {TORN PAPER}
