sworne and examined as aforesayd sayeth and deposeth uppon his oath as
followeth videlicet

That the schedule nowe delivered by him into the Registrye
of this Court is an extracte taken out of the records remayninge
in the towne house of Middleborough, and is subscribed with the proper hande
writinge of Thomas Morris notarye publique dwellinge in Middleborowe
and doth agree with the records oremayninge in the said towne, which he knoweth
to be true for that he this deponent in the moneth of November 1633 beinge
in Middleborowe, to seeke restitution of cetayne sugars belonginge to him
and George Henlye of London merchant, then latelye broughte to fflushinge
in a shipp called the Pellican of London whereof John Dowish was master,
did cause the examinations expressed in the sayd schedule to be taken
before the magistrates of the sayd towne or cittye of Middleborowe in
the presence of the sayd Morris, and one Thomas Micklefield admitted and sworne
as Interpreters in that behalfe and shortly after the takinge of the sayd
examinations this deponent desired a copie of them, and thereuppon the schedule
aforesayd was written out of the sayd records, and this deponent did see the same
examined and helped toe xamine the same with the originall examinations remayninge uppon record in the
sayd towne or cittye of Middleborowe, and thereby found that it did agree with
the English translation remayninge uppomn record in the sayd towne, and in testimonye
of the trueth thereof sawe the said Thomas Morris subscribe his name thereunto
and sawe the seale remayning uppon it, sett uppon it in the sayd towne house of
Middleborowe, alsoe this deponent sayeth that he this deponent
did resde in Holland and Zealand in seakinge restitution of the sugars
aforesayd belonginge to this deponent and the sayd Mr Henlye by the space of fower
monethes or therabouts and sent over and imployed divers other agents there in that behalfe
and this deponent and the sayd Mr Henlye did really and necessarily disburse in prosequetinge
of lawe and seeking restitution of the sayd goods the somme of five hundred fiftye
eight pounds of lawfull money of England. And this he affirmeth uppon his
oath to be true./
