aged 24 yeares or thereabouts sworne and exámined<br />

To the tenth árticle of the said allegation upon which alone hee is by<br />
direction of the partie producent exámined, hee saith and deposeth<br />
that hee well knoweth the producent Marcello Vander Goos and hath<br />
so donne for theise nine yeeres last or thereabouts, this deponent<br />
for all that time (and even from his birth till about two yeares<br />
since that hee came to dwell in London) living in Middleborowe<br />
wherethe said Marcello that for all this said nine yeares dwelt of<br />
this deponents sight and knowledge, and saith that for all the said<br />
time hee the said Marcello Vander Goos hath bin (and<br />
beleeveth at present is) a Burger of Middleburowe, where hee<br />
hath dwelt for all the time aforesaid on the dam, and there keepeth<br />
house with his wife children and familie, and soe hath donne for<br />
all the said time, and for an Inhabitant and ffreeman of<br />
Middleborowe, and a subiect of the Lord the States of the United<br />
Netherlands hee the said Marcelo Vander Goos hath bin for all the<br />
said time of this deponents knowledge of him and is commonly<br />
accompted and reputed, this deponent being very well acquainted with<br />
him and having bin often at his house in Middleborowe aforesaid<br />
within the time predeposed. And otherwise hee cannot depose saving<br />
the said producent is a Marchant of very good account.<br />

To the first, second, third and the rest of the Interrogatories hath saith<br />
hee cannot depose for that hee knoweth nothing of the contents<br />
thereof, not being in the voyage nor knowing ought of the same<br />
or of the ladeing in question, saving that hee hath noe relation<br />
what soever to the said producent which any the least interest in the<br />
goods claimed, and saving the said Marcello is a Zealandar and<br />
commonly reputed to be a Native of Middleborowe, and saving his<br />
foregoeing deposition.<br />
